OUGHTRED BOAT KITS

CNC machined planking and molds as designed by Iain Oughtred

Precision cut parts will make your project easier, reduce the chance of costly mistakes in expensive wood and give you a better chance of a perfectly symetrical craft. Kits consist of CNC machined planking of Bruynzeel Hechthout Okoume plywood with 1.5mm face veneers. The wood is gabon, Lloyd's approved, and carries a 20 year guarantee. Molds are 12mm MDF.

These kits are for experienced builders. No glue, screws, or hardwood are included. All plywood planking is CNC machined to the proper dimensions, but needs scarfing. Plans need to be ordered separately and are all available from Classic Marine. Some plans are available from The WoodenBoat Store. You will need to source all of the other materials required such as, but not limited to, epoxy, fittings, lumber, paints, varnishes, sails, and rope.
